2010-04-06. Lupus Survivor appointed Commissioner
Realtor Ramon C.F. Cuervo III, the newly appointed commissioner of the Professional Regulatory Board of Real Estate Service, a professional regulatory board created concurrent with the provision of the Real Estate Service Act (RESA) of 2009, is a survivor of different kind of adversities.
Realtor Cuervo was diagnosed with lupus in the late 1990s at the peak of his professional life. As one of the few males who got this so-called “women’s disease”, it proved very difficult for him. “My live-in partner” as he jokingly calls his infirmities and name her “Lady Lou”, proved very difficult for him in his active day to day activities. But despite having this rare disease he accomplished so many things and became successful on his endeavors. He is an inspiration to his fellow Realtors, business partners and friends because of his holistic approach in coping, working and leading a productive life in spite of the limitations cause by lupus.
Commissioner Cuervo has made a difference as an institutional builder. He is the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Cuervo Appraisers, Inc; Chairman and President of RACuervo, Inc; Chairman of Cuervo Valuers and Advisory, Inc.; Chief Finance Officer, Board Member, and Co-Founder of Clinica Manila; Independent Director of Philippine Realty and Holdings Corporation (PhilRealty); immediate Past President of PAREB-Manila Board of Realtors, Inc.; consultant and adviser of different property owners and investors. He is also a sought after resource and inspirational speaker on issues and concerns which are not only limited on Real Estate Industry.
Ramon C.F. Cuervo III is a third generation real estate service practitioner, being the grandson of the late Federico “Pipo” Calero, Jr. and son of the late Ramon F. Cuervo, Jr., both considered as pillars of the real estate service profession in the Philippines. Following the great legacy of his forefathers, Realtor Cuervo is bound to create his own legacy as he passionately keeps on working towards the fortification of Professionalism and Competence in the real estate service profession. He is popularly known for his creative concepts in marketing and different unique approach as consultant, coach and mentor.
